Electrolux: “We have had. an Elec-
trolux in our home for nearly two
years; we get from it the most per-
fect refrigeration wk have ever
known. Our ica hills averaged $6.00
per month, annually; another type
of mechanical refrigeration cost us.
for a two-year period, about $8.00
per month. Our gas bill has in-
creased only lie per monthly aver-
age. in these two years. 'This period
included the extremely hot August
of 1936. •
Whether it is dairy supplies, or
garden stuff, ar meats; whether the
food is cooked or raw, its quality and
taste are unimpaired after waiting
in Electrolux. This is an especial
advantage over week-ends and holi-
day seasons. Like all good servants.
Electrolux does its work silently:
there is neither buzz nor drone to
annoy the most susceptible nerves.
Electrolux is the most easily
cleaned, and the most easily kept
clean of any kind of food-storage
regrigerator I have known: and the
defrosting is simple and adequate.
Nor is there a consequent lowering
of temperature to the detriment of
foods. Ner tKfaintest of food odors.
Who would wonder that we were
glad that Electrolux found its place
in our kitchen?

protects your family from sickness—by pro-
tecting your food from spoilage. Can you
afford Io take chance s, when Servel Electro-
lux operates on as little as 2 or 3 cents a
day? Protection for the price of a few sticks
of gum!
This is because Servel Electrolux is a
different kind of refrigerator—different from
all others. Its freezing unit has no moving
vans. It cannot"wear. But moving parts do
wear. Lose efliciency. Cost more and more
to operate. Get noisy. Eventually wear out.
Servel Electrolux has no moving parts. Just
a tiny, silent gas flame takes the place of all
that machinery. Gives you twice the ice the
average family needs. Protection for meat,
milk and left overs. Ice cream every day, if
you like. And for 2 or 3 cents per day!
You don’t “buy" a Servel Electrolux—it’s
an investment. A good investment, which
not only pays back what you put in it, but
pays a profit besides. It takes only a small
part of that investment to put Servel Electro
lux in your home. Why not NOW?
Goose-stepping Nazi troops are shown s they marched, with eyes right, past Chancellor Adolf Hit-

the eyes of most European icapitas figuratively were turned on Hitler because of his military and diplo-
matic shake-up. In this photo Hitler, his arm outstretched, is standing in his automobile.

If you decide to serve sandwiches
as the mainstay, however, be sure
to make lots of them. And make a
good assortment, too. Here are
some possibilities: minced • ham,
chicken or tuna salad, minced
cheese and ham, sliced tongue and
pickle relish, cream cheese and
dates, date-nut bread or toasted
cheese bars.
You might serve the sandwiches
in a basket tied in red, white and
blue ribbons or on plates em-
bellished with artificia? cherries or
little hatchets.
For dessert, ice cream and cake
are always good and nowadays you
can get your ice cream in such at-
tractive holiday molds. Caramel or
chocolate puddings might be your
dessert or a fruit gelati mold
buried in whipped cream.
For something really special try
this:
Bake a loaf cake. Hollow out the
center and insert a quart brick of
cherry ice cream. Quickly cover
the whole mold with whipped
cream and bury a few chocolate
or red candy hatchets or strips of
angelica in the top. Just before you
set it before your guests. stick
some tiny silk American flags in
the top to cap the holidays treat.
