St. John’s Ladies Meet
To Discuss Bazaar
Nine ladies of St. John’s Epis-
copal Church met in their par-
ish house Wednesday, Novem-
ber 7 for their regular monthly
meeting.
In the absence of Rev. Moore,
Mrs.- Robert Hackbarth, the
president opened the meeting
with a prayer and conducted
the meeting. Mrs. H. Clay El-
liott read the minutes, and Mrs.
J. E. Hackbarth gave the finan-
cial report.
The group discussed their an-
nual chicken stew and bazaar
which will be held on Saturday,
December 1.
Mrs. J. E. Hackbarth and Mrs.
Lang, hostesses, served delicious
pumpkin pie and coffee.

Shower Saturday
Miss Alma Reznicek was the
honoree at a miscellaneous bri-
dal shower Saturday night at
7:30 at the Wallis Youth Cen-
ter. She was presented a white
carnation corsage and her moth,
er, Mrs. Joe Reznicek, Sr. and
mother-in-law to-be, Mrs. Charl-
es Zalesak, Sr. both were given
pink carnation corsages.
Miss Reznicek is the bride-
elect of Charles Zalesak, Jr.
The hostesses assisted the
bride-to-be in opening her many
pretty gifts, which were regis-
tered by Mrs. Joseph Reznicek,
Jr. Hostess’ gift was a steam
iron. She expressed her sincere
thanks to all.
The refreshment table held a
white cover with a pretty cen-
terpiece. Refreshments consisted
of chicken salad sandwiches, kol-
aches, various cakes, coffee and
punch were served to sixty
guests.

Tucson, Arizona arrived Satur-
day night to spend their vaca-
tion with his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Rud. Polasek and other
relatives and her father, Mr.
Lezak in Frydek and other rel-
atives and friends.

VEERANS DAY
Sunday, November 11 was Vet-
erans Day. The parade started
at 11:00 o’clock and proceeded
through town to the Wallis Le-
gion Hall. They had a number of
floats of which one was the
Guardian Angel School Band,
directed by Mr. Polasek. It won
first place.
In the afternoon the Angels
played St Mary School of Bren-
ham. To start the game off the
cheerleaders: head cheerleader,
Janie Gutierrez, ass't head, Clar-
ice Knesek and Joan Sodolak,
