Made During April
Drunkes top the list of arrest
made by city police during April,
a check showed Friday.
Twenty-eight were booked for
drunkenness during the month.
Speeding violators are second in
arrests made with five. Other ar-

Gary and Mark Reese of Grand-
view have been visiting their
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred

The annual Junior-Senior ban-
quet of the Talco High School was
held Saturday night in the dining
room of the Alps Cafe. The theme
for the event was "Stairway to
the Stars.”
Bobby Jack Brown, a junior stu-
dent, gave the invocation. The
welcome address was given by
Barbara Mankins, also a junior,
and the response was made by
Charles Graft, the senior class
president. Following a brief talk
by Talco School Superintendent S.
O. Loving, Alice Ottinger gave the
junior class history. Betty Easter-
ling and Starlyn O’Keefe gave the*
senior- class history. The senior
class prophecy was presented by
Mary Jo Flanagan and Gerald Ben
Morris. Charles Lewis gave the
benediction.
Dinner music was furnished by
James Rogers at the piano.
The tables were laid with white
cloths and centered with arrange-
ments of red and white gladioli.
Red candles and ivy complimented
the arrangements.
