SLAYDEN'S PREDICTION.
Says Garner Will Be Elected By
501)0 Majority.
Austin Texas September 12.
Congressman Slayden of San An-
tonio was hero todav on business
with the executive office. In speak
ing of the Garner-Scott congres
sional light he gave as his opinion
that Garner would beat the repub
lican candidate by 5000 majority
as he has had Scott on the rim ever
since he entered the race. A leop
ard can not change his sxibts but
Scott has changed his politics so
often that he difterfrom th leop-
ard materially. 1 i
Mr. Slayden sa's that Garner is
a fine debater and has no trouble
in getting the best of the debates.
