Shoots Himself.
Fort Worth, July Tom Bailey,
aged 20. son of W. J. Bailey, a wealthy
Fort Worth real estate man, killed
himself here this afternoon by firing
a bullet through his brain. 1 he suicide
was committed. In the West Side hotel
and his father, who was in"the room
adjoining, was first to find the body.
.He left two letters, one to a brother
and the other to his father, the con-
tents of which have not yet been di9-
closed. Young Bailey was well known
throughout the city.

Fort Worth, July 9.—The most in-
teresting and the most heated political
debate in this section in the present
cmpaign took place at the city hall
here tonight between Louis J.
Wortham, W. H. Lane and William
Orr, who are candidates for the state
legislature for this district. Wortham
represents, the fewer and better laws
faction and severely arraigned the last
legislature. He is also against state-
wide prohibition while Lane is a strong
'’dry" man.

twenty-four hour race are being made
by the San Antonio Auto club and it is
expected that forty or fifty automobiles
will be entered. O. A. C. Halff, James,
Collins, Dr. Fairchild, R. W. Carr and
