Daniel Parker of the Citizens Na-

said he was looking over the require-

the passage of the bank deposit guar-

but as a matter of advertisement his
bank would likely take advantage of
the new banking law. If it could. The
comptroller of the currency at Wash-

this state law, consequently there is no
way in whloh Mr. Parker’s bank would
come under the provisions of the new
law, although as far as the Texas de-

concerned, there would be no objection.
In the event that the guaranteeing of
deposits by state banks should prove
detrimental in a business way for the
national banks there is a likelihood
that the national banks would reor-
