ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS TO
- BE HELD IN OCTOBER.
With reference to dtssatisfaction ex.
pressed among those students that
have not a suficient number of en-
trance requirements to be admitted to
the University this year, it is stated
by members of the faculty that thia
discrepancy can not be remedied at
present, but later on in October en-
trance examinations will be given for
the benefit of the persons who were
unable- to take them during the be.
Ripning of the fail term, and those who
happened to be in the unfortunate sit-
nation will be given the privilege of
taking them. The faculty expressed
much regret over the circumstances
ut,.’« unable to do anything. The
fault lies with the various superintend-
ents in the state, who failed to notify
their, pulpits of the raising of the
standard of the University of Texas
by the hoard of regents last fall. It
is hoped that such condition will not
occur again.
Mr. and Mrs. William Butts of San
Antonio are in the city with their
daughter, Miss Jessie, who willenter
the University this fall.
