The same inflammation and irritation of the mucous
membranes found in the nose and throat in connection
with nasal catarrh may also be located in any other organ
of the body. To allay this inflammation the poisons must
be removed and proper nutrition carried to the diseased
mucous membranes. The influence of Pe-ru-na upon the
organs of digestion and elimination helps to purify and
enrich the blood. The elements of nourishment and health
are carried to every organ and extremity. While the re
suits following the intelligent use of Pe-ru-na sometimes
seem little short of marvelous, it is not claimed that the
remedy is a "cure-all." Pe ru-na possesses tonic properties
which with its other qualities make of it a most powerful
agent in soothing ragged nerves, in bringing every vital
organ into normal action and restoring the natural strength
and vigor of the body.
Two generations have known Pe-ru-na for what it is.

BAD CHECK BRINGS 2
YEAR JAIL SENTENCE TA
C. A. TURNER, SATURDAY
Two years in the Travis county-
jail was the sentence given C. A
Turner, alias H. G. Blakely, who
was found guilty by a jury' in the
criminal district-court Saturday aft-
ernoon on a charge of swindling,
under ISO it was the maximum
jail sentence allowed by law. the
only higher penalty being that of
two years confinement and a fine.
Turner was originally indicted by
the grand jury on a charge of swin-
dling over $50 for giving to the Pet-
mecky Sporting Goods company a
I bad check for more thn 170 in pay-
! ment for a gun. pistol and some
Ammunition. This charge was later
changed to swindling under $50, due
to the fact that the pistol was only
leased to Turner A plea of guilty
was entered by the prisoner to the
latter charge.
The trial of the case consumed
only a short time, only one witness
Fred Petmecky, being placed on the
stand Mr. Petmecky testified that
Turner gave him the check in pay-
ment for his purchases and the
lease of the pistol, and that Turner
represented himself to be a ranger
The cheek was not good, and the
man not a ranger, stated Mr. Pet-
mecky. The sentence was assessed
