Twelve Newsmen
Win Fellowships
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., May 3
(UP).—From 209 newsmen repre-
senting 39 states, 12 were chosen
today as recipients of the Nieman
fellowships for study at Harvard
University during the academic
year starting next September.
The fellowships carry stipends
approximating each recipient’s
salary. They are designed to pro-
mote the standards of journalism
by giving working newsmen the
opportunity for an academic year
of unrestricted study. i
