4 o'clock p. m. for the purpose of
electing delegates' to represent the
said justice's precincts at a county
convention which will be. held at
the Federal Court room in the city
of Brownsville on Saturday July
16th at 7 o'clock p. m. The said
county convention will be held for
the purpose of electing delegates to
state legislative senatorial con
gressional and all other nominating.
conventions also to elect a chair-
man and secretary of the republican
executive committee of this county
for the ensuing two years and to
transact such other business as may
properly and lawfully come before
the said convention.
Only qualified republican voters
will be allowed to participate in the
justices primary conventions or the
county convention. All of the
precinct primary conventions will
be held at the following named
places in said justices precincts:

Express on time" is the way it ap-
pears on the Miller Hotel register.
Mr. Everett came m on the hrst
train loaded down with copies of
the Sunday Express which he dis
tributed around the city much to
gratification of the people it being
a source of much pleasure to get a
daily paper so early. The Daily
Express was the first paper into
Brownsville and the only one that
came in on the first train. Mr.
Everett has arranged with Mr. J
H. Johnson to distribute the papers
to his subscribers pending the in
auguration ot regular mail service
on the railroad and subscribers to
the Express can get their papers
there at 7:30 o'clock every night.

to appoint two scholarship students
to each of the three state normal
