We certainly are proud of all
the people of Mercedes who have
gathered together to salute the
Tiger baseball team in one way or
another.
It’s a fine thing when a group
of young athletes can bring honor
to a community... it is also a fine
thing when ordinary people in that
community respond and salute the
young athletes.
People... working together in
good causes with other people...
that’s what makes Mercedes, Te-
xas, U. S. A. a great place to
live.
