People in our neck of the woods are quite
familiar with fences of every sort surrounding
fields full of cattle, and we all fully appreciate
that those fences are in place.
Every rancher knows that, while some things
can be ignored, the fence line can’t. If you let
your fence fail, you’ll almost certainly lose part
of your herd, because those great beasts seem
eternally convinced that there’s something bet-
ter on the other side of that boundary. Yes, cattle
can usually be tracked and recovered, but this
takes time most ranchers really don’t have. It’s
far better to maintain your fences and avoid the
loss in the first place.
The Word of God is kind of like that fence
line. As long as we stay in the Word, it can guard
us. It infonns us of what God wants from us as
well as what He wants for us. It helps us guard
our hearts so they don’t wander off as they catch
sight of the seemingly exciting happenings on
the wrong side of the boundary.
If we keep God’s Word in our hearts, it con-
tinually alerts us to things in our lives that need
to change. They key word is “keep.” Just as the
rancher has to keep his fence in good repair,
because it only works if it has no weak spot or
holes, we must maintain our relationships with
God’s Word. It can only protect us if we stay in
it. Walk away from the Word and the odds are
good you’ll eventually wander away from God.
In Psalm 91, God makes great promises to

known my name. He shall call upon me, and I
will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I
will deliver him, and honor him. With long life
will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
When you set your love on someone, you do
all you can to get to know them. Where God is
concerned, we do this by prayer and by digging
into His Word like a hungry man digs in at the
dinner table.
Stay in the Word, my friends. If you’ve slacked
off, head back in and start mending those fences.
God has great plans for you and you will miss
out on them if you’re on the wrong side of the
fence.

give you, I call, “The Fear Not of Provision.” Matthew 10:31 states, “Fear
ye not therefore ye are of more value than many sparrows.” We need to un-
derstand that God is the Maker of heaven and earth. His greatest creation
was mankind, made in the image of God. Know this for sure, that if God
will supply sparrows with food and raiment, how much more will He take
care of His children.
Throughout my life, I have only given flowers to people that I truly love.
I know that God loves you all very much. Today, I love you with the love
of the Lord. Please receive these flowers as my gift to you: may your life
be more beautiful and blessed as you receive this special gift of love.
Children's Day Out.... 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
It is so wonderfill to walk through the green pastures of the Holy Scrip-
tures and view all the beautiful and flourishing flowers of God. God is love
and God so loved the world that he gave the most beautiful flower of all,
the sweet Rose of Sharon. He gave His son, Jesus to die for the sins of the
world, and those that believe in Christ will receive eternal life. Knowing
that God is love, the scriptures declare in II Timothy 1:7, “For God has not
given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love and_____________
a sound mind.” I would now like to share three beautiful A
flowers of scripture. I have named these flowers, “Fear fl
you, I call, “The fear not of promise.” Luke 8:50 declares,
“Jesus answering saying, fear not: believe only and she
shall be made whole.” Someone once asked me, “Pastor,
how long should I pray?” My answer was, “You pray
until you believe. Prayer is the vehicle that takes you to a
nots.” We need to understand that love is the absence of
fear. There is no fear in love.
The first flower I will give you, I call, “The Fear Not of
Prayer.” Luke 1:13 states, “But the angel said unto Him
fear not Zachariah for thy prayer is heard and thy wife
Elizabeth shall bear thee a son and you shall call his name
John." We need to receive this beautiful flower and know
that God hears our prayers as we pray in the name above
