1929 to Lillie Heisler and
William V. Chambers. He
graduated from Stephen
F. Austin High School
in Houston. He then
enrolled in Texas A&M
and became a proud
member of the Class of
’50. While attending
A&M he was a member
of the Corp of Cadets and
a member of the Ross
Volunteers. He graduated
in 1950 with a BS in
Agricultural and Life
Sciences with a major in
Wildlife Management and
became a commissioned
officer in the Army. After

in-law Jesus Tobias; his
son Andrew Neuman
and his girlfriend Ally
Beiswanger; his four
siblings: Terry, Loring,
Mike and Kay along with
a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins and friends.
His goofy personality
and compassion for the
people he loved the most
will be greatly missed.
Services will be held
at Redeemer Lutheran
Church, 1200 E. Lobit
Ave., Bay town on
Saturday Aug. 7, 2021.
Visitation begins at 10
a.m. followed by the
service at 11 a.m.

in Palestine, Texas;
Immanuel Lutheran
Church in Allen, Texas;
Trinity Lutheran Church
in Fairfield, Texas and
Redeemer Lutheran
Church in Bay town,
Texas. Paul was
passionate about teaching
the Word of God, making
all feel welcome, and
caring for people during
the hardest times in their
lives.
Paul married his wife
Laura on March 3,
1990, and they enjoyed
thirty-one years together.
They welcomed Lacey
into their lives in 1992,
and Andrew two years
later, Paul loved people,
Ms. Jeffery Ecby, a
resident of Baytown,
Texas passed away
peacefully on
Wednesday, July 21,
Paul Neumann, 65,
went to be with his Lord
and Savior, July 29, 2021,
at home in his favorite
chair.
Paul was born on
January 22, 1956 in
Honolulu, Hawaii to the
late Donald and Phyllis
Neumann. He was the
middle child of five
siblings in a loud, loving
family. Paul knew from a
young age that he wanted
to enter the ministry.
He attended Concordia
University in Austin,
Texas and Seward,

returned to Texas A&M
and earned a MS degree
in Chemistry.
Gilbert married the
love of his life, Maudene
Callier in 1950. They had
one son, Brian Corwin
Chambers. They lived
in Virginia, College
Station, Texas, and
Baytown, Texas. Gilbert
and Maudene have been
married 71 years.
In 1957, Gil joined
Humble Oil and
Refining Company
and later transferred
to Esso Research and
Engineering Company.
During his career with
Exxon he made numerous
contributions and
established himself as a
highly respected world
authority on products
for the agricultural
industry. He led the
development of FLIT
MLO for mosquito
control. His activities as
a researcher and business
developer took him all
over the United States
and other parts of the
world, including the
Caribbean, Central and
South America, Australia
and Europe.
Gil, Maudene and
Brian enjoyed traveling
and took many trips and

October 20,1933 to
Joseph Richard and Ema
Bertha Sauer Barrow.
He lived his entire life
in Highlands with the
exception of four years
while in the US Air Force
special services from

scholarships and made
donations to his beloved
Texas A&M University.
Most of all, Gil loved his
family!

2021 at 11 a.m. in the
Chapel of Navarre
