on numerous occasions this year.
The Oilers will tackle the Boom-
era again tomorrow night at Kil-
gore, then move home foi a setto
with Dalrymple's crew at which
time the first Bof the three twin
bills will be played. The bargain
affair is slated Wednesday night,
a twilight bill, starting promptly
at 6 p.m. The Kilgore final will
be played Thursday night after
which the Oilers visit Texarkana,
playing a double-header Friday
night, then return to the local lot
for another twin bill Sunday. All
of the extra contests make up
for games washed out at earlier
dates.
Yesterday’s postponement at
Marshall likely will not be made-
up since the Oilers are not sched-
uled again at the Harrison Coun-
ty city during the regular season.
However, If the game is needed to
decide a playoff berth, it will be
played here Aug. 29 or 30 when
the Tigers visit local turf for the
last time.
The heavy schedule the rest of
1 the season will no doubt give the
Oilers’ pitching staff an overdose
of work and Skipper Jake is cast-
ing around for a "fill-in” hurler
to aid in the stretch-drive. The
lists for the playoff have already
been sent dn and a player signed
