Each day, the famous Bill H.
Hames Shows, largest carnival
company in the southwest, will
occupy the midway. This year,
the Hames organisation carries
more than 300 persons, with 20
shows and a dozen exciting rides,
as well as numerous concessions.
The carnival travels on a special
train, which will arrive over the
katy railroad Sunday and will be
unloaded adjacent to the M.K.T.
freight station.
Daily Features
Other daily features will include
the exhibition of displays which
will compete for the 31.000 in cash
and merchandise prises offered by
the fair.
In the principal exhibit hall,
which this year is very attractive
with a myriad of flags, banners
and pennants, will be found the
field crops exhibits, the home dem-
onstration club booths, and a score
of commercial exhibits, each of
which has interesting features.
In the poultry building, the an-
nual poultry show will be held,
and an exceptional livestock show
is promised in the livestock build-
ing.
Each night there will be a pub-
lic square dance at 9 p. m. on a
platform especially constructed
for that purpose.
There will be nightly contests
open to all fair visitors for which
prizes will-be awarded. They in-
elude horseshoe pitching and wash-
er pitching; cow, hog and husband
calling contests, all of which will
be staged nightly, at 7:30 o’clock.
