for 1975. This year’s goal is to
average no more than 0.90
absences per employee.
Jerry Dvorak. Mechanical En-
gineering, is still the perfect
attendance champion, having ex-
tended his record to 36 years last
year. Making his record more
impressive is the fact that Dvorak
has driven some half a million
miles to and from work in the
past 36 years. He lives on the
northwest side of Houston.

assigned to a contractor’s office in
Houston, has a 35-year perfect
attendance record. Clifton Arce-
Mechanical employees deserve
a big share of the recognition for
the monthly’ records set at the
Paraxylene Unit in March, ac-
cording to Dave Starkey, PXU
operating supervisor.
"A good mechanical service
factor is vital to record-setting
operations at the PXU, and
chemical plant Mechanical per-
sonnel do an outstanding job
maintaining the unit, even
though it is almost a quarter of
a century old,” Starkey* said.
