My dear Bob: I am enclosing herewith a couple of tear sheets from a small local magazine giving some information about Dr. Ludwig Anigstein, in tiich I thought you might be interested, as you may remember several years ago you wrote me a letter telling me that some organization in which you were interested that was trying to place able refugee scientists had secured a position at the Medical School of the University of Texas for Dr. Anigstein and asked us to contact him, which we have done frequently with con- siderable pleasure. The account sent herewith is self-explanatory. Your son Bob was with us over the weekend and I under- stand from Herbert he is on his way to Alabama for his first job which is likely to prove arduous and monotonous, but hopefully valuable in the end. When Herbert left college we put him to work in the sugar refinery as an ordinary laborer at various stations and neither he nor we have ever regretted it. Bob im- pressed us very well, but these youngsters sometime need boost- ing when they become discouraged or lonely in strange surroundings. With kindest regards, Cordially yours, 11 encl
