Facts About Peru.
In size Peru is fourth among
South American republics its area
falling slightly below that of Boli-
via. It covers some 695700 square
miles without including certain
areas which are in dispute with
Bolivia Ecuador and Chile. It is
thus nearly one-fourth the size of
the United States and nearly six
times as large as the United King-
dom. The population however is
very sparse less than 10 to the
square mile the total number be-
ing estimated at about 4610000
not including many small uncivil-
ized Indian tribes whose numbers
there is no possibility of ascertain-
ing. -Of the 4610000 enumerated
in the estimated population but a
small percentage are of white blood
about 650000. The remaining
85 per cent are negroes halfbreeds
Indians and Asiatics who have as
a rule readied but a low degree
of civilization and cannot be re
garded as being or. any great eco-
nomic importance except as pos-
sible laborers in the developing in
dustries of the country.
Ther is more Catarrh in this section
of the country than all other diseases put
together and until the last few years was
sup; osed to be incurable. For a great
many years doctors pronounced it a local
disease and prescribed local remedies
and by constantly tailinc to cure
with local treatment pronounced it in
curable. Science has proven catarrh to
be a constitutional disease and there
fore requires .constitutional treatment.
Hall's Catarrh Cure manufactured by
F. J. Cheney & Co. Toledo Ohio is the
only constitutional cure on the market.
It is taken internally in doses from 10
drops to a teaspoonful. It acts directly
on the blood and mucous surfaces of the
system. They offer onehnndred dollars
for any case it fails to cure. Send for
circulars and testimonials. Address:
