On December 9th at 4:00 p.m. the Greater Grandview Chamber of
Commerce will be hosting our annual Christmas Parade. There will be
a $250 Grand Prize given to the best float in the parade. A $50 cash
reward will be given to the best individual float, and a $100 cash prize
will be awarded to the winners in each of the following float categories:
Youth Organization, Business Organization and Religious Organization.
You are only eligible to win the cash prizes if you turn in the following
entry form to the Grandview Tribune by Friday, December 1st.

Parade at 4:00, tree lighting after parade, carriage
rides, arts and crafts on the sidewalks, bring the entire
family and come downtown. The shops will be open for
your Christmas needs. Hot chocolate and cookies will be
available. Festival foods and entertainment. If you make
quilts, bird houses, or any type of arts and crafts that would
make a "one of a kind" Christmas present come downtown
and set up to sell. Non-profit groups are welcome to have
fundraisers.The famous "Kettle Korn Sisters" will be here
for you to purchase their wonderful Korn! County Guitars
will provide Christmas music but we are looking for groups
to sing Christmas Carols. The Greater Grandview Chamber
of Commerce will give cash awards for various categories

BOOKS MAKE GOOD GIFTS
The Greater Grandview Chamber of Commerce
will again be hosting the annual Grandview Christmas
Parade. There will be cash prizes for the best float in
each of the categories listed on the entry form.....so get
to work on that float and let’s have the best parade ever!
The parade will be Saturday, December 9th at
4:00 pm. It will begin behind the First Baptist Church of
Grandview. Those who will be participating in the
parade will need to line up behind FBC Grandview at
3:30. The Parade route will be as follows: West begin-
ning at the 700 block of Criner Street, crossing the
tracks, and continuing straight on Criner Street; the
parade will then go through the Nursing Home parking
lot and come out on Main Street and follow it to Highway
4 where we will go south, back across the tracks, and
end up in front of the Fountain Park.
Following the parade we will light the Community
Christmas Tree. Santa Claus will be on hand for pic-
tures with all of the little boys & girls, so make sure they
bring their wish lists!! We hope you will all mark your
calendars and come out and be a part of this wonderful
holiday tradition!!
