Grandview - Grandview graduate Roddy Looper was
selected to play in the 2008 Texas High School Baseball
Coaches Association 35th Annual All-Star Game on June 14 at
Dell Diamond in Round Rock. Roddy played third base for the
North team of Class A, AA and AAA. Outstanding senior play-
ers are nominated by the THSBCA district representative for
their district and are selected by the Regional directors. Roddy
was first alternate for third base and summoned to play due to
an injury. Roddy was named 2008 District H-AA Offensive
MVP and was selected as All County Co-Offensive Player of
the Year. Roddy will continue playing baseball in college for
Texas Wesleyan University.
