ed for comment but at press time there was no response.

The other day, the girls at the antique store had a visit from an
older couple of antique dealers from Duncanville. The first thing
they said was “Wow! We took your advice to check out the new cof-
fee shop The Grind. The ice cream was fantastic!” The girls agreed
that yes, Grandview is a pretty cool place to visit. The good news is
that they said they will be back!
There is talk circulating that a local contractor is planning a hous-
ing development on the east side of 1-35 here in Grandview. Also a
local landmark has been updated with new advertising painted on
the side. The Whitten building sported “Furniture” and "Chrysler"
painted on the west wall facing Hwy. 81 for many years. While this
change makes some of us feel a little wistful, we can all agree that
prosperity is a good thing.
