won the 4th set 25-21 to even it up. Teague was up
14-9 in the 5th set, 1 point away from advancing.
What happened next was pure magic. Lady

After a gloomy first quarter that ended with the Zebras down 21
to 6, the Zebras would rally to close the gap, even leading part of
the game against Dallas Madison Trojans. The Trojans would tie
the game in the final seconds of the fourth quarter causing the
game to go into overtime play. The Zebras took a loss in overtime
giving up 50 points to their 43.
In the first quarter the Zebras kicked off to the Dallas Madison
Trojans, who took little time getting into the end zone. First tack-
led at the 41 yard line by Greg Norman and followed by stops by
Villa. Vanbenthuysen and Dominguez, but the defense was unable
to keep the Trojans from the goal. The kick was good and the score
was 7 to 0 Trojans, with over ten minutes still remaining in the first
quarter. The Zebras would close the gap in their first offensive
series, with a huge return by Keondrick Rollison to the 46 yard
line, followed by runs by E. Crownover, a completed pass from
Moon to Jarrell, a keeper by Moon and a final run by Jarrell from
2 yards out. The PAT would fail and the Trojans with the point up,
7 to 6. Dallas Madison would score on each of their next offensive
drives, while the Zebras were unable to score on their next two.
Stops by Moore, Dominguez and Hale would not be enough to con-
tain the Trojans as they upped the score 14 to 6 at 4:36, and 21 to 6
at 1:01.
Madison would take a further lead in the top half of the second
quarter with another score, bringing the score to 28 to 6, before the
Zebras would rally to change what appeared to be a Dallas
Madison runaway! Making good footwork, Jarrell, Moon and
Crownover to the 43 yardline. On a 3rd and 14 a completed pass
from Moon to Nash would take the Zebras inside the red zone
where Moon would carry it in from 7 yards out. A reverse on the
conversion from Kam English to Moon in the end zone would bring
the score to within half, 28 to 14, 6:35 on the clock. The defense was
able to force the ball over from Madison to Grandview on the
Trojan series giving the Zebras their next score. Moon would carry
in his second of the night from 13 yards. (28-20) The Trojans would
settle making good on a field goal kick and the first half would end
Trojans 31, Zebras 20.
The Zebras would control the field in the third quarter, turning
the tables on the Trojans and preventing them from putting up any
points. First Rollison would return the kick-off to the 35. A couple
runs from Crownover and Moon, a completed pass to Rollison to
the Madison 43, then #4 Crownover would move the ball to the 13
yard line where Jarrell would carry it in for the TD. A good conver-
sion pass from Moon to Jhett Pruitt and the Zebras would be with-
in three points of the Trojans, 31 to 28. The defense would hold the
Trojans, forcing the punt and the Zebras would go up for the first
time of the game with an 11 yard touchdown by Crownover, who
would also make good on the conversion and with 4:44 remaining
in the third quarter the Zebras would lead 36-31.

Senator Birdwell then went to Grandview |
Elementary to speak to 5th grade.
The Senator spoke to the students on what his
duties were as well as what happened to him on
9/11. The group asked many questions and ran j
out of time. The senator was very complimenta-
ry of the students and their knowledge of a work-
ing government. Afterwards he visited the 4th
grade violin class and enjoyed the music of the '
strings. “We were very excited that Senator
Birdwell took the time to join us today and allow
our students this opportunity to hear what a ।
Senator really does." Kathrine Stewart.
