Troy Eugene York went to be
with our Lord on the 28th of
October after a long coura-
geous battle with Leukemia.
Services were held at 11am
on Monday, October 31st at
The First United Methodist
Church in Grandview, TX.
Troy was born at home on
New Year’s Day of 1942 to
Dennis and Opal York. Troy
was known by many names
including Genie, Trig, Big
Troy, Big T, Troy Boy, and
Dad, but his favorite name to
go by was Poppy. He graduat-
ed from Grandview High
School in 1961 and was a
proud member of the Zebra
football team. He later attend-
ed North Texas State
University before starting a 30
year career at General
Motors. He retired at the age
of 53 to dedicate his life to
serving the community in
honor of his Lord. He did so
by visiting with those in need
and volunteering his spare
A k time at his churches. As Troy
( got older, he created a bucket
list that he made his way
4 through. Most notably, jump-

I have explained the meaning and tradeoffs of this propo- :

I is: ”a special election to reduce the taxes allocated to our ;
: Type A and B Economic Development Corporations and ;

(weather permitting).
< As a side note: I get A LOT of compliments on the road

; Fall....and don’t get me wrong....I LOVE getting ‘credit’!
| But in truth....100% of the appreciation should be directed
: towards a combination of the City Council (for voting to

: Additionally, if you run into any of our Public Works guys,
3 or City Administration, please take a minute to express to
; THEM your appreciation for the changes you are seeing!
