ned with horror and disbe-
lief when they learned that
the Ptesident of the United
States had been struck down
by an assassin’s bullet. Wb
are now joined in sorrow and
deep mourning for our Ptes-
ide nt, stricken in the prime
of his life, during the cul-
mination of years of service
to our country.
A man of courage, convict-
ion and dedication, he had
the admiration and respect of
all citizens of the United
States. It is the genius of
America that we may differ
with each other upon the
Constitution Principles, Pub-
lic Issues and Politics, and
yet recognize the sincerity
and honesty of those with
whom we most strongly dis-
It to our prayer today that
God may bring comfort to
President Kennedy’s beresv-
ed family in their hour of
grief, that He may bring
strength and wisdom to Pres-
ident Johnson who will carry
. the torch of freedom onwad,
and that He may unite all
Americans in leading the
world to attain the goal that
has been ours since we be-
came a nation - - liberty un-
der the law for all people.
