passed away Monday night.
He resided in Arlington at
1004 W. Magnolia.
The Howells formerly liv-
ed in Grandview. They pm-
chased the B. B. Ingle In-
surance Agency and Mrs.
Howell operated the busi-
ness several years.
Mr. Howell was a retired
Texas A Pacific Railroad
employe at the time of his
death.
He is survived by his
wife and one daughter, Mrs.
Theda Trewitt of Calif.

DEATH CLAIMS
R. R. ROCKETT
Raymond Ralph Rockett,
age 64, who resided on Rt.
4, pissed away Monday,
March 30 in Memorial Hos-
pital after a long illness.
Mr. Rockett was born in
Ellis County February 19,
1900.
He was married to Virgie
Birkes on September 8,
1934. The Rocketts lived
in Hillsboro before com-
ing to Grandview in 1951.
M. Rockett was a World
War I veteran and a member
of the Baptist Chuch.
He to survived by his
wife; three sons, Ralph and
Donald of Grandview and
Bobby of Irving; one broth-
er, Roy J. Rockett of Port
Aransas; three sistets, Ms.
Mada Byron of San Angelo
and.Mes. Lillian Clark and
Ms. Mary Bell of Corpus
Christi.
Funeral services were
held Wednesday, April 1 at
2:00‘p.m. at the First Bap-
tist Church with the pastor,
O. B. Prater officiating.
Interment was in Grand-
view Cemetery directed by
Clayton Kay Funeral Home.

Telephone Companies ef-
fected a changeover Tues-
day night which trade direct
telephone dialing possible
on the Rio Vista and Cle-
bums exchanges.
C. J. Wimer of Texas Mid-
land, which has headquar-
ters in Grandview, said the
c ha ngeover was trade be-
cause of the community in-
terest between Rio Vista
and Cleburne, and that free
dialing was made possible
through an agreement be-
tween the tvo companies.

Rio Vista made the first call
to his daughter, Sharon af-
ter the breakdown.

Scott of Cleburne. Time of
the services were 2:00 p.m.
Interment was in Grand-
view Cemetery.
M. Smith was born June
27 in Lindsle, Texas and

M. Smith was a former
Clebune resident, living
there from 1910 until 1954.
He wae formerly employed
by the Santa Fe Railroad.
He wae a member of the .

He was preceded in death
by his wife, Mrs. Mary Patel
Smith on June 14, 1953 and

He to survived by one
