representatives will have spent only
a small amount of time in Austin
and the rest of our time in our
respective districts. While spending
more time in our districts, instead
of Austin, we are able to see how
laws that we passed are being
carried out by our state agencies and
how they utilize their appropriated
funds. We live by the new laws
and feel the effect of the changes,
the same as everyone else. Within
our respective Districts when we
see that changes in current laws are
necessary, it is our duty to try to
enact these changes.
It has been my pleasure to
represent District 58 in our bid to
have Highway 67 added to the
National Highway System under
the provision of ISTEA Bill of
1991. Many people throughout the
district have been extremely
instrumental in getting Highway 67
added to the map, as well as
working on many other projects.
Currently we are working on the
extension of State Highway 121
