Old-Time Remedy
Best for
Heavy Coughs
Stubborn, racking, deep-seated
cough* that refuse to yield to other
remedies are often checked overnight
with the old-lime cough medicine that
our parents and grandparents "swore
by.” In spite of modern discoveries
nothing has been found to replace
good old Dr. Belk’s Pine-Tar Honey
for giving quicke sure relief for
coughs, chest colda, bronchitis, spas-
modic croup and other throat irrita-
tions. Doctors say that the pine tar
quickly loosens and removes the
phlegm and congestion which are the
direct cause of the coughing, whilo the
honey not only gives a pleasant taste,
but helps soothe irritation.
But be sure you get the original Dr.
Bell’s and no other. ‘There have been
dozens of imitations, but the original
is still the bent. It often stops the
worst cough in 24 hours. Contains
no injurious druge, so can be given
even to young eili)dren. Insist op Dr.
Bell's. Only 300 at any good druggist’*.

WILL BEAUTIFY PLAZA
Messrs. P. E. Pope and H: M.
Park, official "gardeners” of the
city of Alvarado are preparing the
center plaza for its planting of
flower seed apd they expect to
make the site even more beautiful
than it was last year.
This decorative spot in the midst
of the busines center attracted at-
tention from thouands of people
last year, and its fame spread all
over the country, everywhere trav-
elers' went in automobiles who vis
ited Alvarado on the itinerary.
We may give little thought to
the value of thia projeet, but it is
a wonderful asset for the city, di*
playing its blossoming welcome to
all travelers who see it.
It is worth every dollar spent by
the city in its upkeep and to
Messrs. Popo and Park we owe a
vote of unstinted praise for their
interest and labor in the work of
preparing and maintaining the plot.
