vTnere need fie no fears as to the
disposal of-' the bonds of the city
of Brownsville in case the election
decides the question-in favor of
the bond issue for the construction
of aHwaterworks and electric light
system. In fact capitalists all over
the country are not only willing
tnit :anxioris to iiBtairi these se
curities. 'As proof of this the
City authorities have received nb
than fiftv letters from ca
pitalists -from i various places in
eluding Chicago Cleveland Dal-
las7 Anstin and other places in-
quiring ab6ut the probability of
the election resulting- in favor of
the.- bond issue and asking to be
kept posted as they wish to bid
on the bonds. Some even want to
buy the bonds before the election.
The Herald believes that the
city will have no trouble in dis
nosine of the bonds at par and
thinks they may even bring a pre
mium. Five per cent securities
are in great demand in the money
markets and Brownsville s bonds
will be gilt edged as the city has
no other bonded indebtedness
whatever and is iust entering upon
an era of development and pro-
sneritv.
i -
Just vote for the bond issue and
the mouev will be at command
instantly to build the water and j
light system. !
