No Major Wrecks
Occur in County
During Holidays
In spite of the fact that an es-
timated 35,000 motor vehicles
passed through McKinney on
Christmas Eve and again on
hristmas Day and the further
fact that highway traffic was ex-
ceptionally heavy throughout the
holiday period a comparatively
few traffic accidents were re-
ported and none were described
as major.
State Highway Patrolmen and
City police, along with sheriff’s
deputies, patroled city thorough-
fares and highways of the coun-
ty throughout the period in an
effort to keep speeding and
other violations at a minimum.
Several accidents were report-
ed in and near McKinney during
the holidays but no injuries re-
sulted, police say.
