year age range and an older
woman. Tryouts will begin at 8
p.m. today and again at 2:30
pm. Sunday, in the fellowship
hall of First Christian Church
The comedy by Harry Cauley
lakes its title from a couch-bed
in the one-room city apartment
of Amy and Charlie Rodgers
Charlie is a young intern in a
nearby hospital and Amy an
artist; a former romantic in-
terest of each is also involved in
the plot, with Amy's mother.
Readings began in Com-
munity Center Monday after the
March board and membership
meetings of the Players. Dates
for the play were set to incl ude a
Sunday matinee, the first for
Hereford Players.
Plans were made for the
annual membership dinner on
the opening night, with at-
tendance at the play as the
entertainment after dinner in
Hereford Country Club
This event climaxes the
yearly membership drive and a
package fee of $10 will include a
year's dues, the dinner and
play, for both new and old
members Mrs. Jack Wilcox is
chairman of arrangements for
the evening.
Announcement was made
that members are invited for a
seminar on amateur theater,
sponsored by Amarillo Little
Theatre March 22 when its
productian of the comedy, Any
Wednesday, will open. In-
cidentally. this is a play which
Hereford Players staged last
spring.
Participation in the Com-
munity Fine Arts Festival
March 30 and 31 was planned,
with a scene from The Paisley
Convertible to be, presented as
the Players' contribution to this
annual event sponsored by the
