friends could find themselves involv-

pointed out the need for family
members to communicate more and
try to understand each other's needs
so families can work together. Mann-
ing noted that everyone should better
equip themselves to know the needs
and recognize the neglect of the
elderly and handicapped. "Our wills
should be made so that our posses-
sions are given to people or organiza-
tions of our choosing by way of a
will,” she said.
'My Turn' was given by Bea Hut-

THE SIMPLE THINGS
By Bob Wear
We are thinking of ‘simple things'
in contrast to the complex and com-
plicated things and situations. It is
best for us, if we learn to value the
simple things and the simpe ways,
and help ourselves to become fully
appreciative of them. The complex,
complicated and ostentatious situa-
tions and conditions may have some
appeal sometimes, but they do not
contribute to human happiness or
general well-being.
In the individual life, the important
things are the simple things. They
are the things which can contribute
most to a desirable life situation, and
they are, generally, the recognized
essentials in the best structure for
the most rewarding life style. If we
permit the life situation to become
complex and complicated, we are
likely to lose sight of some of the
simple things' which are essential to
a worthwhile life experience. This is
a loss that we cannot afford, and
must guard against.
The time-honored life elements
such as sincerity, honesty, humility,
genuineness along with emotional
stability can thrive best in a climate
that is favorable to full appreciation
of the simple things'. If we pernut
happenings and circumstances to
manage us, it is just a matter of time
until we are caught up in complex-
ities and complications of all kinds.
Obviously, we must learn to manage
