plants launched their annual cam-
paign to raise funds for the Tri-Cilies
Community & War Fund Drive. The
campaign opened October 12 and will
extend through October 25.
“This is strictly an employee-
sponsored effort,” said Dr. Sherman
S. Shaffer, head of the Baytown re-
finery laboratory, who is serving as
chairman of the drive.
“The committee members are men
and women employees who are serv-
ing voluntarily in a patriotic desire
to assist a worthy and deserving ;
