We regret to learn, by letter of a recent date from
Austin, that William H. Grimea, Esq., died in that place
on the 11 th instant. 1

It is te be regretted that any misunderstanding should
arise to prevent the running of the boundary line between
this country and the United States; as it is of the utmost
importance to the ends of justice, as well as to the quiet
and order of the frontier, that lines of demarcation should
be drawn at once. It i^ in some degree satisfactory to
learn, as we have from Gen Hunt himself, that the delay
did not originale in any neglect on his part; as, notwith-
standing the difference of opinion between the commis-
sioners in regard to what should be considered “the ter-
mination of the Sabine river in the sea," General Hunt
proposed, that, leaving this question to lie decided by their
respective governments, they themselves should commence
at a point where there was no dispute, and run the line
" up the Sabne to the intersection of the thirty-second
degree of north latitude" This very fair proposition the
United States Commissioner saw fit to decline, and also to
suspend operations till a messenger could be despatched to
Washington, for instructions In the meantime General
Hunt is to proceed himself to Austin, and obtain full and
