The Dublin High School band is marching this week in prepa-
ration for the Fiesta Flambeau parade they will participate in
San Antonio this weekend. The parade is eight miles long and
is one of the few night parades in Texas. The band will leave
Saturday morning and return Sunday afternoon.

The Dublin Junior High band returned from the solo and en-
sample competition in Goldthwaite Saturday with a number of
first division awards. The music department, under the direc-
tion of Mrs. Eugenia Barry, has enjoyed a very successful year
with more first division places than ever before in the band’s
history. The group will celebrate with an end of school party in
May.
