Four Victims
ROCKWALL, Tex. on — A
head-on collision of two cars
about a mile and a half west
of Rockwall claimed four lives
Friday.
Killed in the accident on
U.S. 67 were Q. A. Ray, 45,
a boxing coach at Greenville,
and Lewis Edward Deatley,
24; his. cousin George Lay,
and Buddy Mose Williams,
all of Dallas.
Police said the engines of
the cars were pushed into the
front seats by the impact.
The victims could not be re-
moved from the wreckage un-
til doors were ripped off by
wreckers.

CAIRO <* — Syria will not
halt the flow of Iran Petro-
leum Co. (IPC) oil through
its territory because of its
dispute with the company,
Syrian Foreign Minister Ib-
rahim Makhos said Satur-
day.
"We will collect our shares
of profits as per t h e 1955
agreement on transit royal-
ties with the company, and
if any oil stoppage takes
place, it will have to be one
through the IPC’s own do
ing," Makhos told the Cairo
weekly Akhbar Elycum.
