Has Party
The Senior Busy Twenty
Club met in the home of Mrs.
Otis McMinn for a Christmas
Party Friday afternoon with
Mrs. Roy Jenkins and Mrs.
M C. Lain as co-hostesses.
Nineteen members and two
visitors, Mrs. V. W. Abbott
and Mrs. M. B. Crain answer-
ed the roll call.
Mrs. A. G. Dainel, club
president, presided over the
business.
A silver Christmas tree, a
lighted candelabra on the
mantle and a group of mini-
ature carolers on a mirror
reflector was arranged on the
coffee table in the living
room.
The dining table was cover-
ed with a red Christmas cloth
with a white reindeer center
piece and a della robba hung
over the buffet.
Mrs. Hugh Pope showed
several Christmas aprons.
The door prize was won by
Mrs. Abbott, Mrs Sam Smith
and Mrs. D. H. Baker.
After playing games and ex-
changing gifts the hostess as-
sisted by Mrs. Crain served
refreshments
The club adjourned to meet
January 6 in the home of Mrs.
Baker.

Mrs. John A. Brooks will
prsent Miss Amy Holliday,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs
Bobbie Holliday, in an organ
recital Sunday Dec. 18. at
2:30 p.m. at the First Christ-
ian Church.
.. The program of traditional
Christmas music will include
a duet by Mrs. Brooks and
Miss Holliday.
Miss Holliday has been an
organist for the First'Qirirt-
ian Church for the past year
and has been a pupil of Mrs.
Brooks for seven years.
A reception will follow in
the fellowship hall of the
church.
The public is invited.
Division Mrs. Lee received
special award for the Anti-
Litter display and the out-
side door decoration. Mrs.
Justiss received the award
for the inside door decora-
tion.
The staging committee
made up of Mmes Walker,
J. E. Daniel, and Miss
Moore were also presented a
special award.
Mrs. Dean Maxton, Mt
Vernon; Mrs. George D. O’-
Neal, Mt. Pleasant; and
Mrs. Nina Spearman, Pitts-
burg. served as judges of
the show.
Mrs. W. W. Cass presided
at the hostess table, which
was laid with a red cloth
centered with a silver can-
dlelabra decorated with red
carnations, ' holly and red
candles.
Mrs. George Daniel was
the consultant for the bazaar
hr id in connection with the
flower show. Many Christ-
mas arrangements were for
sale.

dinner in the home of Mr. and
Mrs. C. W. Spann Thursday.
Co-hostesses for the occasion
were Mrs. Ray Robbins and
Mrs. John Surovik.
The vice president, Mrs.
Paul Harbour welcomed the
guests and gave the invoca-
tion. The dinner was served
buffet style from a table with
guests seated at quartet ta-
bles covered with red and
green clothes. Favors of San-
ta mugs were exchanged by
the 42 members present.

Friday for foreign missions.
The meetings were held
