Financial Statement of City
Mailed This Week.
A financial statement showing
all the accounts and balances of
the City of Kermit through the
city’s last audit on April 1, was
placed in the mails last week.
Although this audit was pub-
lished in the local newspaper im-
mediately after the audit was
made, it was felt by city offi-
cials that a printed report should
be mailed to each inlividual citi-
zen of Kermit so that all would
know the financial standing, and
the receipts and disbursements
of the city over the past year.
the new reservoir have a capac-
whereas the booster pumps at
the old reservoir have a pump-
ing capacity of only 750 gallons
per minute.

Commission Authorizes
Drilling of New
Well in Walton Place.
The City Commission at
regular meeting Monday author-
ized the drilling of another water
well in the northwest corner of
the City Park near the recently
completed water reservoir.
The well will be drilled by
Earl Scott, who recently com-
pleted a well for the city 1,000
feet east of the new reservoir.
The well, which produces an es-
timated 400 gallons per minute,
was drilled to a depth of 496
feet, and is one of the best water
wells owned by the city.
The new well is being 'drilled
near the new concrete reservoir |
because of the larger capacity i
booster pumps installed at this
reservoir. The booster pumps at
ity of 1,500 gallons per minute
