Founded in 1923, and established as a four-year coeducational, state-supported college
on September 1, 1951.
The provisions of this bulletin do not constitute a contract, expressed or implied, between
any applicant, student and faculty member in Lamar University. Lamar University
reserves the right to withdraw courses at any time, change fees, calendars, curricula,
graduation procedures and any other requirement affecting students. Changes become
effective when the proper authorities so determine the application to both prospective
students and to the students already enrolled.
