Tickets for the State Amateur Softball Associa-
tion tournament to be held here next week went on
sale today at four Brownwood business firms.
Ducats are priced at only $2.50 and will admit
the holder to all games of the four-day tournament.
Tickets can be picked up at Weakley-Watson, Holi-
day Inn, Palace Drug and Coggin Drug.
Tourney is set for Aug. 54-74 at Camp Bowie
Municipal Sports Center and officials are expect-
•ing the largest entry list in the history of the na-
tionally famed meet.
Approximately 30 teams will enter, assuring
Central Texas softball fans of close to 60 games
during the double-elimination tournament.
The tourney's grueling schedule has attracted
nation-wide attention. Teams will play all night
during the Friday and Saturday rounds Games at
3 a m and 5 a m. are common.
Brownwood is hosting the huge affair for the
