Orville Sims, and husband. Mike
Hollis, who had been a guest of
the Sims returned to his home in

Day Wednesday
Texas Research Foundation’s an-
nual field day and awards dinner
will be held at Renner Wednesday,
Guided tours of the Foundation’s
fields and laboratories start at 1
p.m. and continue until 5 p.m. The
public is invited.
The climax of the field day fol-
lows the awards dinner at 6 p.m.,
when the two recipients of the
Hoblitzelle Awards will be honored.
Awards are given to persons for the
advancement of Texas rural life.

a 40-hour five-day work schedule
after action by the Commissioners
Court Monday.
Acting on a petition signed by
county office holders, the commis-
sioners voted to close courthouse
offices Saturday mornings begin
ning June 3.

of "Show-Stoppers ’41.”
The “Show - Stoppers” series
began at NTSC three years ago.
Monday night the latest production,
as has been the past custom, play-
ed to full houses for two perform-

services were held at 10:30 a.m.
today in Belew Cemetery for Ran-
dy Aaron, infant son of Mr. and
Mrs. Ralph Aaron of Aubrey. Rev.
M D. Bishop, pastor of the Rock
HUi Baptist Church, officiated.
Smith Funeral Home of Pilot
Point was in charge of arrange
ments.
The infant died at birth Monday
in Denton’s Elm Street Hospital
A Clinic.
Survivors also include two sis-
ters, Diane and Rebecca. and his
grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Claude
Aaron of Sanger.
John H. Norris
John H. Norris, a lifetime resi-
dent of Denton County, died at
the home of a son, Raymond Nor-
ris, in Seguin at 6 p.m. Monday.
He was 80 years old.
Funeral services will be held
at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Oak
Grove Methodist Church east of
Denton under direction of Jack
Schmits and Son Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cem-
etery.
Mr. Norris had lived in th
Aubrey community until a short
time ago when he moved to
Seguin to live with his son. He
was a retired farmer.
Survivors include four sons,
Henry Norris of Lindsay, Okla.,
Virgil Norris of Longview, Hu-
bert Norris of El Campo and Ray-
mond Norris; three daughters,
Mrs. Della Lyles of Denton, Mrs.
Lena Watson of Dallas and Mrs.
Dorothy Overturf of Beeville: one
brother, Dude Norris of Wilmer,
Tex.; eight grandchildren and
several great grandchildren.
