The best of the motion pictures
about war are those that deal inti-
mately with the individual and his
actions and reactions to the broad-

This is also, obviously, the dif-

its research engineers turned out in fun while testing ultracold
processing of food.
While submerging bourbon, vodka and beer into liquid nitro-
gen scaling 320 degrees below zero fahrenheit they came up with
bourbonsickles, vodkasickles and beersickles.
Roy C. Follett, a company official, said the process can be
used on foods, including fruits and baked goods.
Follett said bourbonsicles, martinisickles and other alcoholic
beverages would burn like dry ice when frozen at 320 degrees
below zero.
But he said when they are allowed to warm to about 80 de-
grees below zero they can be consumed without pain.
They must be stored in dry ice, he said, because they would
melt at temperatures in the ordinary home freezer.

“The Guns of Navarone” is a
war movie high on adventure, fill-

technical work, that sometimes
loses itself in formula when out

You could not confuse the film
with lesser efforts, however.
Gregory Peck, David Niven and
Anthony Quinn lead a strong cast.
Between themselves they could
bold up most any picture.
