TREE GROWS ATOP CHURCH SPIR ""
This century-old former church has sprouted a tree in its spire about six blocks
from downtown St. Louis. The church now is used by a truck body firm which
allows the tree to grow as an attention getter. The tree seed sprouted about
two years ago, probably airborne or bird-borne.

Galaxies are found to occur in
a great variety of shapes, and the
majority have structures which
cannot possibly be in equilibrium
or balance, said Dr. Oort.
These galaxies were apparently
created “in a past and quite dif-
ferent phase of the universe," and
a big problem is to find out what
happened then and when.
But so far, he added, “we have
hardly been able to decipher any
of the hieroglyphs of these galax-
ies.”

The years of deafness also left
her with a lisp. She rid herself
of it only a year ago with such

She got her acting start as

which abound on local TV. ’
