ROAST
We have just passed through
a week of snow with all that
goes with it in Mullin. The
moisture from it was very nice,
and I’m sure all the young peo-
ple in and around Mullin had
tota of fun.
Once again Uncle Frank Shel-
ton and Mrs. L. J. Vann (broth-
er and sister), have celebrated
their birthdays. "Uncle Frank”
celebrated his 93rd birthday
January 1®, and "Aunt Hat”
celebrated her 90th birthday,.----—------------
January 17th. Uncle Frank re- visited here last Sunday with

with their lights on. It made
me think of the dust storm days
in the thirties. I can’t say that
I like that kind of weather even
though I did grow up in it.
A group of ladies from the
WSC8 of the Methodist Church
in Mullin met last week with
the WSCS of the Zephyr
Church. Mrs. Duvall gave a book
review on "The Missionary of
Today.” Those attending from
Mullin were Mrs. Grady Han-
cock, Mrs. Lue Rothwell, Mrs
Kyle Smith, Mrs. Cleve Warren,
Mrs. Margaret Toliver, and Mrs.
Dudley Aldridge.
Mrs. Guile Lockett and her
daughter, Mrs. Opal Tilson of

Center City News
By MRS. JOB GREEN
This is Sunday evening and
I will send in some news from
out this way. My, we sure have
had some bad weather and it
looks like we will have some
more; here’s hoping it doesn’t
snow again.
There were church services at
the Baptist Church Sunday
morning and night, with a good
crowd in attendance.
We were so sorry to hear of
the death of Woodrow Head Jr.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Woodrow Head Sr. of Granbury.
We all called him "Lttle,
Woodie” because he was named
for his Dad. He was the grand-
son of Mrs. C. M. Head of Cen-
ter City. We extend our deepest
sympathy to his wife and chil-
dren and his family. May God
be with them in their sorrow.
We also wish to extend our
deepest sympathy to the Wil-
liams family in the loss of Cecil
Wiliams. His death was such a
shock to everyone. May the Lord
Mr and Mrs. W D Hopkins
of Abilene spent the weekend
in Mullin with their daughter.
Mrs. E. L. Fisher, Mr Fisher,
Kaye and Bill. They attended
church services at the Baptist
church Sunday morning.
Earl Fisher is in the Veterans
Hospital in Temple.
Also Mrs. Garland Spinks is
in the hospital in Goldthwaite.
Mrs Roland Basham and
family of Comanche visited in
Mullin last Sunday
Mrs Fred Pafford is home
from the hospital in Goldth-
waite where she had surgery.
Mrs T. C. Chaney’s mother,
Mrs Tom Mitchell of Alexander,
is here staying with her daugh-
