Friends of Tan Henry, a candidate for the State

M. Whisenhunt of Mullin were
held in the First Baptist Church
of Mullin Wednesday morning,
April 8, at 10:00 o’clock, follow-
ed by services in the Eustace
Baptist Church at Eustace at
4:00 o’clock Wednesday after-
noon. Services were conducted
by Rev Ellis E. Epps pastor of
the First Baptist Church of
Lawn, assisted by Rev Chester
Sylvester, pastor of the Mullin
Baptist Church. Burial was in
the Goshem Cemetery near Eus-
tace, under the direction of the
Roy Wilkins Funeral Home of
Goldthwaite
Pallbearers were Ray Lindsey,

with other relatives, John is the

Mr. and Mrs. Billy Hobbs and
family of Brownwood visited
here Sunday with Mr and Mrs.
Fred Ethridge. They also visited
with Mr. and Mrs. Dew Shelton
and Uncle Frank.
Mrs. W. L. Barker is in the
hospital in Goldthwaite where
she has had major surgery. She
is reported as improving nicely.
A wedding shower will be held
Saturday, April 18, at the Com-
munity Center honoring Mrs.
Douglas Spinks, the former Rita
Gayle Pyburn. They were marri-
ed last Saturday night
Mrs. Lynn Roberts spent part
of last week in Coleman with
her daughter, Mrs. Derrell Creek
who has been in a hospital in
Coleman.

Mr. Whisenhunt was born
May 5, 1897 in van Zant Coun-
ty, Texas, son of the late Joseph
and Lillie Whisenhunt. He pass-
ed away April 8, 1984 in ChU-
dress and Cruzcosa Clinic and
Hospital in Goldthwaite.
On December 2, 1925 he was
married to Lillie Mae Jackson
in Henderson County, she pre-
ceded him in death in 1932. In
1948 he was married to Mrs.
Lillie Baker in Henderson Coun-
ty and she preceded him in
death in 1957.
Mr Whisenhunt had made
his home in Henderson County
for many years, where he was
engaged in farming. In 1957 he
came to Mullin to make his
home with his son, A. R. Whis-
enhunt, vocational agriculture
Gravetide Rites
For Elizalde Infant
Elizabeth Ann, little daughter
of Mr.and Mrs. Ramiro Elizalde,
was born November 20, 1963 and
passed away in Childress and
Cruzcosa Clinic and Hospital
in Goldthwaite Thursday morn-
ing, April 2, 1964 at the age of
four months and 12 days
She is survived by her par-
ents, Mr and Mrs. Ramiro
Elizalde of Star; three brothers
and one sister.
Graveside services were held
at the Kingsbury cemetery
with Brother S. W. Sellers, pas-
tor of Evant First Methodist
Church, officiating. Evant Fu-
neral Home was in charge of
arrangements.
Pallbearers were Jesse Mar-
tinez, Johnny Martinez, Jesse
Sodada and Frank Falindo.
