WEDDING DATE SET—Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Anderson of Mullin
announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their
daughter, Sarah Jane, to Coy Dean Cline, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Aubra Cline of Goldthwaite. Miss Anderson is a graduate of Mullin
High School and is now attending Gary's Beauty College in Brown-
wood. The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Goldthwaite
High School and attended Durham’s Business College in Austin.
He is now employed by the Bell Finance Company in Temple.
A November 14th wedding is planned.

Jane Dorbandt attended the
' Brownwood Civic Music Associ-
ation program held last Sunday
, afternoon in Mims Auditorium
to Brownwood. The Texas Boys
' Choir, all teenagers, did the
singing. They are a selected
‘ group from over the State of
Texas. There were 26 boys in
the choir, and the singing was
“Out of this world.” as one of
the ladies described it to me
Some people love and appreci-
ate good music, some love to
sew, some love to chase fox and
hounds all night, so I guess it
takes it all to keep things go-
ing. For me, I love the music.
The choir was directed by Mr
George Bragg.
The members of the Baptist
Church have started practicing
on their Christmas Cantata.
The leader for the group is Mrs.
Sylvester, wife of the Baptist
pastor
Recent visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. John Neill were Charles
Lindsey and family of Brown-
wood. Mrs. Sidney Neill. Mr. and
Mrs. Roy Crockett of Mullin.
Mrs. Loraine Lindsey of Brown-
wood, and Mrs. Lucile Stowers

Bkersfield, California have
meen here visiting with his
brother, Bert Lockett, and wit*.
Also with Mr. and Mrs. Autry
Heating, and with other rela-
tives and friends.
Jimmy Rex Neill and fam-
ily ran from the hurricane two
weeks ago at New Iberia, Louis-
iana. Their house was the only
one loft in the small town. Their
neighbors only saved their fam-
ilies.
Mr and Mrs. Jimmy Hillman
of Albuquerque, N. M., have a
new daughter, born October 14.
She has been named Lora Ann.
She has two brothers to wel-
come her. I imagine she will get
plenty of attention. Jimmy is
the son of Mr. and' Mrs. J. L.
Hillman of the Duren commun-
ity, and his wife is the daugh-
ter of the late Bob Crockett and
Mrs. Crockett
Mrs. Jane Dorbandt enjoyed
a fish fry at Lake Merritt as a
guest of Mr and Mrs. C. W
Bolden of Goldthwaite. Both
eat and bass fish were served
with other godef food that only
Mrs. Holden can make. Other
guests were Mr and Mrs. Roy
Russell, brother of Mrs. Holden,
of Center City, recently of Hous
ton They have recently pur-
chased a home at Center City.
Honor guest was Mrs Katherine
Ivy of Fairfield, she is with the
telephone company, and also
operates her own ranch.
Mr. and Mrs Harry Warren of
Kerrville visited here last week
with his parents, Mr. and Mrs

had been killed Tuesday in a car

received word Sunday night
that one of their grandchildren,
little daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Jerry Holder (formerly Julie
Donnelly) passed away Sunday
at their home in Athens.

San Saba Saturday to visit her
brother - in - law, Mr. Barney
Laughlin, and Mr. Pat McClure
of Lometa, who are in the Mem-
orial Hospital.
