.After you put the tree in the
pail of water take your garden
hose and sprinkle the branches
with a light, fine spray. Remem-
ber. that tree has probably been
cut quite a while, and you want
as much moisture as possible
to be absorbed back into the
needles. Naturally, don’t do this
if it’s freezing or snowing’
Leave it outside overnight to
drain and absorb some of this
moisture. If at all possible,
leave it where the dew can fall
on it. This will help rejuvenate it
further
And the best lesson we have
learned over the years, when
shopping for our tree. is to take
our stand along with us. Usu-
ally. the fellow who is selling
the trees will cut those bottom
branches off so the tree will fit
your stand. This saves a lot of
trouble when you get home Ever
