Last Sunday, lightning
struck our house on the comer of
Elm and Fannin Streets. We
would like to express our deep
gratitude and appreciation to the
firefighters who responded to the
call. You did an excellent job in
every way. A fire department such
as this deserves the respect and
thanks to every citizen.

Nocona Police officers worked
several accidents recently.
On June 1, a 1980 Ford truck
driven by Keith Sawyer of Nocona

Lemon of Nocona and parked at
the post office.
No citation was issued.
On June 4, a 1981 Cadillac
driven by Jimmy Harral Hudgens
of Jacksboro was northbound on
S.H. 175 (Montague Highway),
when it collided with a 1983 Ford
pickup driven by Jeff Voss of
Sanger. Voss was westbound on
U.S. Hwy. 82 trying to turn south
on S.H. 175. No citation was
issued.
On June 9, Edna Boatwright of
Nocona was getting into her 1976
Buick in the parking lot at Nocona
General Hospital when a 1979
Chevrolet, driven by Robbie
Carver of Nocona, pulled into the
adjacent parking space and hit the
open driver’s door. No citation
was issued since the accident oc-
cured on private property.
Also on June 9, a 1982 Pontiac
