signed the pastorate of the South-
ern Presbyterian church of this
city, preached his lst sermon
Sunday morning, and will leave
this morning, for Tuscaloosa, Ala.,
where he has accepted a call from
the First Presbyteriah church of
that city. Mr. VanLsar has been
the pastor of the Southern, Presby-
terian church in thisjeity for over
six years and his remignation and
departure is a source of much re-
gret to his church and'the people
of Henderson irrespective of de-
nomination.
