FOURTH CIVIL APPHALS.
San Antonio, April 8.— ( Special.) —
The Fourth court of civil appeals to-
and served throughout the war on the
Confederate side as a drummer boy.
Justice Campbeik, who neld te lu-
quest. found a verdict according to the
foregoing facts.
For Women’s Pains
Women, of Nourse, suffer more pain than men.
These pains are due to general weakness, to deranged
functions, to diseased organs, to overwork, worry,
nervous debility, and many other burdens that
women have to bear.’
Lift them off, with Wine of Cardui, that welcome,
helping hand, that all women may grasp, to help
themselves out of the slough of disease.
Mrs. Katie Burlison, of Goreville, Ill., (writes:
“I suffered with female troubles and was sosick 1
could not stand on my feet, hardly at all, and had to
Some people say, “Cascarets are too
gentle. I need a strong physic.”
The trouble is this: They have taken
harsh physic until their bowels are
calloused.
Nature has caused the bowel linings
to harden—to resist the attacks of
harsh pills.
And the bowels fail in their natural
functions while that hardness exists.
"‛Aak your grocer for Climnx Fxgs,
There'a a reaaon They're aiways gond.‛*
Then one Cascaret a day is enough;
and a little later you need none.
For Cascarets cure the bowels. They
bring back the natural action. They
heal what physics destroy.
No harsher laxative can be used without
injury, and none is ever necessary.
Cascarets are candy tablets. They are sold
by all druggists, but never in bulk. Be suro
to get the genuine, with CCC on every tablet.

The Aim-rhan government has
preme court, through ssociate Justice
Brown, it was held that there is noth-
in* in the constitution of Texas to pro- ]
hlbit the reading of the Bible or sing-
ing religious songs or conducting re-
ligious exercises in a public school in
Texas. This question came up in (ho
case of E. H. Church et al. vs, W. L.
Bullock et al., from Navarro county,
which was affirmed by the supreme
court. This is an action for mandamus
brought in the district court by appel-
lees against the board of trustees of
the public schools of the city of Corsi-
cans, appellees commanding said trus-
tees to desist from conducting certain
exercises in said schools which are al-
leged to be religicus and sectarian. The
defendants answered by general denial.
In eubstance, that the exercises were
neither religious nor secretarian in the
sense prohibited by the constitution of
the state of Texas. A trial before -he
court without a jury resulted in favor
of defendants The evidence shows
that E. H. Church does not believe in
the inspiration of the Bible and he
protested to the trustees and teachers
against conducting the exercises.- The
plaintiffs in the case depended on that
part of the constitution which provides
that money shall not be drawn from the
treasury for the benefit of any religions
service, nor shall property belonging to
the state be appropriated for any such
purpose.
“To hold that the offering -of
prayers,” says the court, "either by
the repetition of the Lord’s prayer or
otherwise, the singing of songs,
whether devotional or not, and the
rending of the Bible, makes the place
where such is done a place of worship,
| would produce intolerable results."
The court continues. In effect, that
the house of representatives and the
way in which leading druggists sell,
Hyomei is undoubtedly responsible ford
many sales.
With every dollar outfit they give
their personal guarantee to refund the
money if Hyomei does not give abso-

Rear Admirai I ( <' will ni t feti-
press manner invokes the supervision,
and oversight of God for the law-
makers. Associate Justice Brown fur-
ther declares that, “in fact, Christianity
is so interwoven with the web and
woof of the state government that to
sustain the contention prohibiting the
reading of the Bible, offering prayers
or singing songs of a religious char-
acter in any public building of the gov-
ernment would produce a condition
bordering on moral anarchy, a The ab-
surd and hurtful consequences furnish
a strong argument against the sound-
fess of the proposition. The right to
Instruct the young in the morality of
the Bible might be carried to such an
extent in the public schools as would
make it obnoxious to the constitution,
not because God is worshiped, but be-
cause of the character of the services
the place would be made a place of
worship.”
