Editorial—
By Louise Hugghins
Do you walk down the halls
alone, or do you walk among fri-
ends? There are many different
definitions of friends, each reflect-
ing the ideals and needs of the
different individuals. It is true
that most people have friends of
some form.
The boys and girls of today have
a great opportunity to meet other
people of all phases of life. We
¡meet these people in school,
which we see day after day. We
meet them in church and youth
organizations, at parties and rec-
reation centers. We get to know
their likes and dislikes, their be-
liefs and ideas, but of all of these
people most of us have alt too few
¡friends and many acquaintances.
There arc lots of people who go
out of their way to make friends,
while others just seem never to
bother. Again the question is ask-
ed what are friends. Here is an
Idea:
A friend is someone you turn
to, not only in time of need. His
suggestions and advice are the
ones you stop first to heed. He'mie Lovelady.
is the one you look to with res-
pect and care, Always knowing
your joys and sorrows he will glad-
ly .share. So let's all look around
us and study the friendly faces.
Do you feel that vou could use a
friend on his own basis.

Eagles Romp Over
Wolves In Rain, 27-13
By Leland Jones
The Rusk Ragles romped over
the San Augustine Wolves here
Friday night in the rain, 27 to L'5
The Eagles started things off hy
marching to a touchdown early in
he game, 7 to 0. The two teams
fought all through the first half
to see who was to be crowned with
the victory. The Wolves picked up;
a touchdown which put them only-
one point behind the Eagles, but
the Eagles came back to score in
more points to leave the rain-
soaked field at half-time leading
the wet. Wolves 20 to (i
In the third quarter the high-
flying Eagles again found pay dirt. >
and went ahead of the Wolves 27
to 8, However, the Wolves did not':
give up, and they proved it by
adding another 7 points to their
score. The Wolves tried desperate-
ly to outplay the Eagles, but their
hopes were in vain The Eagle.4
left the field soaking wet ami tir-
ed, but also with their fourth (lis
trtet win. The powerful Eagles, a
team that was rated at the bottom
of the pile at the first of the sea-
son, have come a long way and
they are the only ones left to
knock the mighty Crockett Hull
dugs from the throne. The. is a
very important game which will
decide whether Crockett takes the
championship or if District 18 A V
